Effective solution for dissolving broken screws in watchmaking

Description:

VISSIN is a technical liquid specially designed to dissolve broken or seized screws in watchmaking plates and bridges, without drilling or machining. It acts chemically on steel screws when the part is heated from underneath, allowing delicate extraction even in hard-to-reach areas.

Advantages:

  • Effective on broken or oxidized screws
  • Saves time during restoration or repair, acts quickly (less than 15 minutes)
  • Ready to use
  • 50 ml bottle: economical and long-lasting

Precautions:

  • VISSIN is a corrosive product. It may damage brass in case of prolonged contact or excessive heat.
  • Be careful, as the liquid may dissolve more than just the broken screw you want to remove.
  • Keep out of reach of children

Instructions for use:

  1. Place the plate or bridge containing the broken screw into a small container (preferably ceramic or heat-resistant).
  2. Pour enough VISSIN to completely cover the affected area.
  3. Gently heat from underneath using a small flame (such as an alcohol lamp or low-power torch), without rushing.
  4. Watch carefully: the appearance of a “small shadow” indicates that the solution is reacting with the steel screw.
  5. Once the effect is observed, rinse the part thoroughly with running water. Then immediately clean with benzine (petroleum ether / essence C) to remove residues.

Typical action time:

  • 5 to 10 minutes for a lightly oxidized broken screw with good exposure
  • Up to 15 minutes or more for a deeply stuck, oxidized screw or in a thick plate

Packaging:

  • 50 ml bottle

Storage:

  • Store at room temperature, away from light
